FUNCTIONAL USE

The ManuTrain Wrist Support is suitable for daily management and stabilisation in cases of mild wrist conditions:

• Wrist sprains
• TFCC tears
• Carpal tunnel syndrome*
• Wrist osteoarthritis
• Instability (eg: radioulnar subluxation)
• Tenosynovitis (eg: De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis)
• Swelling
• Wrist distortions

*The ManuTrain is not recommended for cases of moderate to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. For moderate to severe carpal tunnel syndrome, the ManuLoc Wrist Brace is recommended.

01 Two-Part Strap System for Optimal Stabilisation

The integrated two-part strap system enables individualised adjustment of the stabilisation level and position according to therapeutic need. The robust velcro fastening enables the wearer to secure the wrist at a desired position to achieve the degree of stabilisation required to ensure healing and relief. As a two-part system, the strap is anatomically contoured to conform to the curvatures of the wrist and hand, securing a tailored fit that stabilises the wrist whilst promoting controlled mobility to counteract instability and mitigate strain from aggravating movements.

The integration of an anatomically shaped thumb opening enhances the wearing comfort by securing an optimal and contoured fit that ensures the aid maintains its effective wearing position during movement. The soft and seam-free zone guarantees an ergonomical design that produces an ideal interface with the skin to reduce pressure and sensitivity. 

03 Pressure-Reduced Edges for Maximal Wearing Comfort

Reduced pressure at the edges of the support improves the interface with the skin by reducing constriction and impingement to ensure a seamless wear. 

04 Functional Pad for Enhanced Therapeutic Effect

An integrated viscoelastic silicone pad on the side of the ulnar exerts targeted pressure and a massaging action that reinforces the therapeutic effect by accelerating the reduction of swelling, particularly in instances of ligament damage, tenosynovitis, and sprains. The anatomically shaped pad ensures perfect positioning and maximum contact with tissue to produce a uniform pressure at the common sites of injury to relieve pain and impingement, and release tension. The anatomical pad is an effective integration to further enhance mechanosensory activation through targeted improvements in proprioception and joint awareness. This is crucial to promote recurrence prevention, particularly following sprains, to enable proper anatomical movement. 

05 Specialised Train Knit for Optimal Activation

The specialised flat knit exerts robust medical-graded compression to enhance blood and oxygen circulation to the wrist to reduce swelling and pain sensations, mitigate mild numbness and tingling, and counteract muscle weakness for improved stabilisation and activation. The enhanced circulatory activity stimulates neuromuscular processes for comprehensive physiological stabilisation of the wrist through targeted enhancement of muscle activation and proprioceptive responses. The Train knit produces an intermittent compressive influence that further accelerates the rate of healing following ligament and tendon damage whilst mitigating the burden and frequency of oedema and effusion. The three-dimensional design of the knit ensures a contoured fit of the aid to promote an even and uniform compression across the wrist area, enabling a comfortable and effective wearing experience.

An integrated inner hand stay on the radial side complements the strapping system by providing an additional stabilising effect at the wrist to encourage controlled movement following destabilising injuries and distortions.
