Enabled through class 2 (Ccl2) medical- graded compression, the MalleoTrain S is suitable to stimulate natural physiological healing responses in the ankle to counteract pain and discomfort associated with tendon damage, sprains, and ligament disorder, as well as enhance the anti-inflammatory reduction of effusion, oedema, and haematomas. This activation of healing processes is facilitated by the intermittent compression, which releases tension at painful tissue sites and supports joint integrity through activation of stabilising muscles to aid stabilisation and movement.

The three-dimensional knitting produces reinforces the graduated pattern of compression and increases contact between the knit and skin for secure positioning and comprehensive stimulation of the body’s own stabilisation.

An integrated expansion zone at the extensor retinaculum and instep area enables the fabric to seamlessly adapt during foot dorsiflexion without pinching of the material on the skin, thereby preventing constriction or impingement during wear. 

05 Functional Strapping for Maximal Stabilisation

An integrated functional strapping system further stabilises the ankle against supination tendencies via a figure of eight design that connects the midfoot to the distal lower leg for controlled movement during activity, particularly sports comprising sudden pivotal manoeuvres. The strap comprises three distinct materials of unique elasticity that provides targeted robust stabilisation at the relevant area of the joint whilst enabling the strap to conform to the curvatures of the ankle. In operating similar to that of functional taping, the strapping system provides a durable and reproducible support feature that ensures optimal structural stability to prevent recurrence, particularly in instances of spraining and ATFL injuries.

1. The point of measurement is approximately one finger’s width above the malleoli
2. Extract a single circumference measurement at this point
